20 Items You Will Use All Year in 2023

How overwhelming is it during the new year to always be hearing New Year, New Me? How about instead of feeling like we need to redo our lives completely, let’s embrace last year and see what we can do this year to make the life we know we live more comfortable every day. One of my favorite things about practicing mindful consumption is the absolute gratitude i feel towards items I use all the time. I do not like frivolous stuff and I’m really trying my best to spend very mindfully in 2023.

This list has price ranges from under 5 dollars to under 500.

Items to make you more comfortable:

Cotton Undies - amzn.to/3Zh0DrQ

This goes for anyone. Cotton is one of the most breathable fabrics and is known to make great underwear. I love going for a high waisted cotton brief becuase they don’t fall down and they tend to not get eaten up by my butt cheeks to put it delicately. I really cannot praise cotton undies enough.

Ice Roller- amzn.to/3W2mjVM

I got my ice roller last year and it’s 100% worth having around if you suffer from anxiety. Use it to calm down your skin after a cry session or stimulate your vagus nerve but icing your neck and wrists to help calm you down.

Yoga Mat -

amzn.to/3CrTnj9

If you don’t have a yoga mat, you need one. Even if you don’t really plan on doing any yoga on it. I’m a fan of a casual yoga session but I find I end up using it as a floor mat. I’ll lay on it by the window to get some sunshine if I’m not up for a walk, or to help cushion the floor mattress I have when people come to stay.

Quality Cotton Socks - amzn.to/3w58Ulv

Having quality cotton ‘qym socks’ in your dresser will never let you down! I have a ton of cute whimsical socks but I find myself reaching for these on a near daily basis. They are comfortable and go with every outfit.

About a year ago I went to the 99 cent store and bought a box of lavender chamomile probiotic tea. That day, my life was changed. So if you haven’t found the perfect tea for you yet, try out a tea sampler.

Items that can make you healthier:

Food Freeze Tray - amzn.to/3XdCKQ9

I love a good frozen meal from the store, when I realized I could make those but with my own food, I felt my world shift. Now instead of letting the last bits of something go bad in a Tupperware container, I throw it in my freeze cube. TIP: Put a damp paper towel over before heating and it will taste fresh as the day you cooked it!

Air Frier - amzn.to/3ZnN4Xx

I know, I know. It’s dumb that this is on this list becuase it’s on every list ever but it really does reduce cooking time. I use my air fryer everyday and it has helped me make healthier choices because cooking up some potatoes or any veg in it is so quick and tasty.

Toothbrush - amzn.to/3VUM0HJ

If you haven’t switched to an electric toothbrush yet, let me tell you—it’s worth it. I truly look forward to brushing my teeth with this toothbrush in the morning.

Water Pick - amzn.to/3jZmXpQ

The same can be said here about this water pick.

if you haven’t yet, you must find your favorite sunscreen/lotion combo, these are my two.

I finally did it. I’ve been using my Fresh face lotion for years now and the only downside to it is that it doesn’t have SPF. But I have finally found the combo I’ve been looking for with the super goop spf serum. I really hate the way all sunscreens feel and smell so it’s really hard for me to put them on my face with the sensory issues I have. The super goop serum has no smell and it’s really really soft. It almost feels oily but it really isn’t? It’s confusing but amazing and can’t recommend enough.

Glass Spray Bottles - amzn.to/3QlG6OS

Idk if you guys heard, but chemical filled daily cleaners are OUT! For the last year I’ve been using water with vinegar. Not only is it so much cheaper, I feel better not spraying where I cook and eat with chemical sprays!

No Sulfate Shampoo - amzn.to/3CvPKsm

I switched to Moroccan Oil shampoo and conditioner and my hair has never been healthier! It’s really moisturizing and I can go pretty much a week between washings with my no aerosol dry shampoo. I’m really not big on smells but this shampoo smells amazing.

No Aerosol Dry Shampoo - amzn.to/3vOOJrQ

Hopefully you have seen the news how bad traditional spray dry shampoo (or any aerosol products like texture spray, hairspray ect.) is for our health. They have found it to be cancer causing so use of these products should be limited or eliminated. I found out this news after becoming a full on dry shampoo convert. I had only been really using it last year and loved every second of it so when I found out, I went on the non-aerosol dry shampoo hunt. Many just use corn starch from their kitchen but I wanted to see if I could find anything a bit better and found this. It’s smell isn’t the BEST but it does wear off after the first 20-30 minutes. But I have to say, it works! I start using it on day 2-3 after washing to keep my bangs fluffy

Car Cleaning Wipes - amzn.to/3GsjKGP

I’m terrible at taking care of my car. I work from home, I do go do stuff but I’m a big home body and boy does my car get dusty. I wanted to get some car cleaning wipes that were not super chemically filled so I did sme research and found these. They are mom certified and if they would use it around their babies, I will use it around me!

Items to make you feel like ‘That Girl’:

Mini Hair Ties - amzn.to/3GPUT1e

I have long hair with bangs and when I need it out of my face these little guys are a lifesaver. I sometimes find that bigger heavier hair ties cause hair breakage, but these little guys are light, stay in place, are cheap, its okay if you lose them, and easy to cut or get out of your hair.

Phone Case - amzn.to/3jYDF8N

I usually replace my phone case once a year. They get gross and messed up no matter how good you take care of them and this year I went with a nice neutral case.

Laptop Case - amzn.to/3X5bzqG

This is pretty much going to reiterate the last point. Laptop cases get old and banged up over the year. I usually try to get a new one for myself every Christmas. There are so many fun ones to choose from whether it be on Amazon or Etsy but this year I got mine from Amazon to match my phone case

Tennis Shoe - amzn.to/3CxeccY

How old are your tennis shoes? Yeah mine were too. I typically like to get as much clothing as I can from thrift stores but tennis shoes and jeans are the two things I’ll really invest in. When buying sneakers, really consider what you will be using them for. I got my fiancee Asics for Christmas because he loves to play basketball and go on walks. I have these Adidas because they are cute and comfy and great for long walks or big museum days.

Tablet and Pen

If you’re anything like me, you have been drooling at those people with an iPad doing their digital planners for a long time now and you JUST CAN’T TAKE IT ANYMORE. But you’re not trying to spend 800+ on an iPad. It's 2023, we are being more conscious with our money and trying our best. I did my research and found an affordable alternative and it’s the Windows Go tablet. There are newer versions but I opted for the 2021 version brand new. I use mine as a digital planner, streaming device, cook book, drawing pad, and so much more. At $350 for the tablet plus another $60 for the drawing pen, I am absolutely in love.

Planner - amzn.to/3vQXBgg

If the tablet & digital planner is not in budget, fear not! My whole life before this, paper planners have been my best friend. I’ve always enjoyed the hunt of finding the perfect one so i’ll link a few of my favorite places down below.

These are just a few things I can whole heartily recommend. I really love reading other peoples top products, so if you have a similar list or a good recommendation please let me know! If you like content like this subscribe to me newsletter, where once a month I’ll send you all the blogs I make that month if you want to catch up.
